I am 25 year old male...
I have a problem with SD, and I dont know how to get rid of it. This is so itchy and irritating all over my scalp that my hair is falling...I seen a Dermatologist and he was the one who diagnosed me and gave me the Shampoo that contains ciclopiroxCiclopirox olamine Ciclopirox topical olamine..which helps but not too much. Is there anything new out there or anything that works? I heard wonders about taking internal kentokazole?(sp) the same ingridient that is in NizoralNizoral Nizoral a-d Nizoral topical shampoo....
I heard washing hair more frequently can help.My husband also suffers from it too and gets these big flakey patchesAllergy testing Skin color - patchy that peel off his scalp. When he washes hair a bit more it seems to help (with a medicated shampoo of course)
He uses Neutragena T-GEL. It smellsSmell - impaired Stools - foul smelling like dog shampoo but does the trick.
Otherwise, call your derm and tell him it's not helping enough and he will tell you what to do or prescribe something else.
