, so i went to a dermatologist at a hospital to get it looked at. I brought the tube of hydrocortisone i was using with me to show her. I told her i was using it from about 1 to 2 monthes... She looked at my face
and told me, "You dont have any permanent damage, don't worry, but quit using the hydrocortisone"
So, i guess i dont have damage? Could it have caused increased sensitivity to my face, or even cause rosacea??? It has me really worried even though that dermatologist said i dont have any damages... I heard it can surface viens to the surface of my face, does that mean i will get viens all over my face?? Im pretty sure it was 1% hydrocortisone cream.
Anyways, the hydrocortisone wasn't even helping that much with my rashes, but the benadryl they prescribed me certainly has, the redness and inflammation has gone away alot in just 3 days.
Hello,
Long term use of hydrocortisone means using it for months or years. You do not seem to be having any side effect of using it for 1-2 months. Steroid induced rosacea and increased fragility of the skin is a long term side effect of using steroids for years. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
