Hydrogen peroxide after using acne medication

Hydrogen peroxide after using acne medication

Hello, earlier this morning I had taken my usual shower and washed my face with Clean and Clear Advantage acne cleanser. I then had gotten out of the shower and noticed a little red blemish on my face, so I decided to white it out with some hydrogen peroxide (3%). That is when the left side of my face turned into a big white spot. My skin became whiter and whiter as the hydrogen peroxide was working. I then started to scrub and flush my face with water and the whiteness seemed to stay for about 15 minutes. The whiteness had since then went away leaving me with a big red spot on my face. I just want to know if this is a skin irritation or maybe a chemical burn. If I touch the spot it stings on contact. I had tried taking another shower to make the redness go down, to no avail. NOTE: In the picture, this is an hour after the incident.

Hi,
How are you feeling?
White foam reaction is normal after applying hydrogen peroxide anywhere on open wound. I think there is normal reaction of your skin getting redness. This should go away in a day or two.
Keep me informed if you have any queries.
Bye.
