Hypertrophic scarring

Hello,

I have a question about Hypertrophic scarring.  I am a Caucasian female. I want to get my belly button pierced for the third time.  Both times before when I pierced it I had no infection or puss but just a slightest irritation/redness as I assume is normal at the place where piercing is not quite natural. I am very clean person and I follow the instructions on how to take care of such a thing as piercing to the core. But after the first time my body seems to reject the piercing I had (a ring) it basically pushed it out. Since then I had developed a Hypertrophic scar. It wasn’t big at a time but it was definitely noticeable.  It got smaller and flatter so after 6 months I went to a "professional" who told me it seems to be safe now to try to pierce it again. I did. And after couple of month I have noticed that my body dislocating the piercing to the right a little bit.  I am guessing because of the thickness of the scar.  It was no longer even and right at the center.  So I figured I had pierced it too early and went out and took the piercing out.  It has been about two years now since then. My scar had flattened a lot, but it is still not quite as flat all the way. Also it is still discolored. I have heard many "advices" some people say I should wait till its all gone and after that I am safe to do it again.  Some say after it’s gone and when I will pierce I wont have it again.  Would you plz advice me on the best way? I really want to pierce my belly button but I just don’t know whether I should wait and for how long or is it safe to do it in a nearest future?

Thank you very much in advance,

Tasha
