I belive that answer is wrong....about the herpes on the body

by KillerKitty, Nov 28, 2008 07:45AM
The doctor said that she could not get herpes on her body.....well that is wrong, I was diagnosed with herpes type 1 almost 10 yrs ago(which is the cold sore virus) and since then I have gotten cold sores extrememly bad on my mouth and in my nose. SO recently in the past year I have gooten 2 break outs on my back that were huge herpes blisters, and I went to doctor about it, the first time they said the same thing that it couldn't be herpes it would never come out on your back!!! so they diagnosed it as impentago and prescribed an antibiotic, but didn't do anything and then it happened again so they took a swab of it and sure enough it came back as herpes type 1 on my BACK!!! and also the past little while I've been having itchy bumps all through my head at the hair follicles and have been told that I may have herpetic folliculitis, but all this time I was taking Valtrex 500mg twice a day for 60 days before these outbreaks even happened so they can't explain it.....my body must be ammune to the Valtrex is all I know, so now I am taking Acyclovir 400mg 3 times a day and it doesn't seem to be doing anything either, the break out on my back has since crusted over, and the one in my nose is still there, and my head is still breaking out in these little itchy bumps....so just to let you know I get the herpes type 1 virus anywhere on my body! It is possible! and nothing seems to be working to stop the break outs or keep them under control! All this started from one little cold sore 10 years ago....

This discussion is related to herpes or folliculitis?.
