I fell on my face and have a large deep abrasion under my eye!

Hi! I was rushing around, as usual, and I tripped and fell hard on my face at the bottom of the steps. It happened a few weeks ago, and now looks like it is going to scar badly! Does anyone have any advice for me? I tried some vitamin E oil on it, but developed a rash. As of now, I am just putting aloe vera gel on it. It is a large area, about the size of a dime, just under my eye. It looks very red and shiny and somewhat depressed in parts. Thanks in advance for any advice.

If the wound has healed completely,then you may apply some moisturizer on the area to help smoothen and even out the scar. Aloe vera is all right for as long as you do not develop any reaction to it. If the wound is still open, I would not advice you to apply anything. We do not want it to get infected. This sounds like an abrasion .The scar is most likely shallow and superficial.

Have you taken antibiotics for this?
