hi you are doing good by using baby powder instead of deodarant i had the same problem. & at that time my doctor told me that it was that the deodarant clogged the pores & therefore the sweat glands got infected & also @ that time i was a lil overweight so that played a factor in it, so then after that i started excersicing & went down 2 my normal weight & they were gone but after i had my 1st baby i gained weight & im still struggling 2 take if off & the lumps came back 2 my arm pit. so all i did was popped them cause it had pussed & i still get one here & there but its not as painful. so i think a lot of it 4 me was because of my weight. hope you get well thanks.
Thanks, The right side is just about cleared up. The left 1 is still there & you can move it side to side. It is not as painful today. I have been putting baby powder under my arms instead of deodorant. Yes I do shave however I only shave in the shower with soap & I regularly change the blades. Hopefully it will go away & not come back!
Thanks Again for the post
Were the spots moveable under the skin or were they more pimple like? If they were more under the skin (moveable) they are swollen lymph nodes. If they were more pimple like, they are infected/inflamed hair follicles (folliculitis). Your symptoms sound more like folliculitis. There are different treatments for them. Bacitracin topical may help alleviate the swelling/infection, although keeping the area dry would probably be best. If you happen to shave your armpits, that would likely be the cause. Prevention would involve thoroughly cleaning the area before shaving and maybe applying some lotion or powder afterwards.
