I have a bump on my scalp

I'm 15 years old, and i have a bump on my scalp about an inch away from my hairline.
It started about two months ago but then went away and left a bald spot.
The bump is back again and is about the size of a pea.
Does anybody have any idea of what it could be?

This bump on the scalp sounds like a pilar cyst. Pilar cysts manifest as smooth, mobile, asymptomatic swellings, often in the scalp. Overlying hair loss may be noted. The definitive treatment is surgical excision of the cyst. My sincere advice would be to consult a dermatologist.
