hi Dr,
       I am using retin a mic and taking minocycline and its making my skin really dry kinda like peeling and flaky to much.i put it on a night.anyway every oil free and hypoallergenic moisturizer I use breaks me out...is they a moisturizer that I can get from a dermatologist with a prescription that wont break me out?I have really sentive skin I don't know what to use and my skins so dry from the winter weather and the cretin a.can you recommend something that wont break me out and clog my pores?or can I get a moisturizer from a dermatologist that wont break me out?thanks ill be looking forward to you/re answer.take and god bless

People often ask me this question, but in fact moisturizers don't break people out.  Any light moisturizer (like Lubriderm) will do.  The reason you thin they break you out is that you're still getting acne, but that's because the treatment isn't working yet, not because of the moisturizer.  Maybe your dermatologist should consider switching you to a lower concentration of Retin-A, or to a different treatment altogether if your dryness is still tough to handle.

sorry i made a typo i meant to say im using retin a micro 0.1% and taking  minocycline.its very drying so i have some samples of retin a micro 0.04%thats seems a little better for my skin would this be the next is drying powers?thats all i wanted to add thanks dr
