I need to know what this is, A bruise? or a Burn? or worse?

I woke up two days ago ( Tuesday ) and i noticed that on my RIGHT leg there is a huge redish-brown-shaded looking mark as big as a.... post-it notes, maybe a little smalller.

The night before it wants there but i do remember having a argument with my friend and i kinda hit the door and that part of my leg might have hit the edge of the door. I don't know...

but I remember at night when i went to sleep i did scratch that area because it was itching.... so i could-have also over scratched it too...

the only problem is it doesn't Hurt by its own! If i poke it a little big it hurts or if i drag my finger through it, it hurts.

But overall, the past two days it has not changed color to a purple shade, so I don't know what it is.

Hello,
From the symptoms it looks like a bruise only. The blood under the skin which causes the discoloration of bruising should be totally reabsorbed by the body in three weeks or less.

In your case, as the symptoms are persisting for more than 4 months, so it may be due to formation of hematoma because of blood trapped in tissues. This blood may need to be drained. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Thank You, very much!

As of today it is no longer all red, its actually looking more like a bruise and a MD confirming it, makes me less worried.

Thank You again :)
