I was told it was Linear Scleraderma

When I was about 9yrs old i woke up with the scar about 8 inches long 3inches wide on my right leg, didn't know where it came from. My mother took me to my Dr. He could not tell us what was wrong so he sent us to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. After lots of blood work and tons of dr.s staring at me, they told me they thought it was linear scleraderma and i started taking steroids for the condition. But i haven't had any symptoms of linear scleraderma other then skin tightening and thickening of the scar. I stopped taking the medicine and haven't had any problems with it since, other then this huge scar. So now I am just curious about whether it was scleraderma or some different skin condition. I also have to other similar smaller scars on my right ankle and under my left breast. Any input as to what could be going on with my body would be great. thanks
