INSECT BITE ALLERGY

I was bitten by very small green insects that cluster near bulbs and tubes or any source of light during winter.The stings changed into small white plump round spots with a dark brown outer ring.When kept untouched the white part goes and only  the dark brown color with a dotted dark face remains.But then I feel itching and as soon as I scratch, it comes back to the original form and upon severe scratching the dotted face opens and even blood comes out.There are four such small round marks on my arm and one on my leg and one on the upper part of the foot which is a bigger area with very hard lump like circle with several small dotted faces.It also subsides but swells with itching.This has happened almost a year ago but I neglected it.It does not spread to other areas.What should I apply.Should I consume medicine or visit a doctor or can it be resolved easily?

You should get these bumps examined by a dermatologist because it is not normal for insect bites to persist for 1 year after biting. You should follow up with that dermatologist and begin with course of antibiotics after getting these sores cultured and sensitivity tested for bacterial infections and antibiotics sensitivity. You will then be prescribed oral antibiotics for a few days. Till that time, wear cotton clothes, apply calamine lotion and take some oral antihistaminics which are available over the counter.
