INTENSE ITCHING!!!!!!

I have had a rash for over two yrs now on my lower right leg. I have been on prednisone more times than I can count this past 3 -4 months.I eat benedryl like its candy. I break out from everything laundry soap ,bath soap, stress, you name it. I have fibromayalgia also. The dr says the rashe are auto immune disease. WHAT CAN I DO??? She even gave me a prescription hydrocortsone. When I am on the predisone it starts to go away but not all the way gone. I think if I was on it more then 5-10 days it would go away but I hate all the side effects of it BUT I HATE THE INTENSE ITCH MORE!!!! Mine isnt just at night ITS ANY TIME OF DAY OR NIGHT.PLEASE ANY IDEAS AT ALL OR REMEDIES THAT WORK PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hello,
This rash can be due to chronic hives or eczema skin. The cause of chronic urticaria is often more difficult to identify. Most cases are called chronic idiopathic urticaria, which means they're caused by the body's unexplainable development of antibodies to itself (auto-antibodies).
Chronic urticaria is often accompanied by coexistent physical urticaria, triggered by environmental exposure to heat, cold, sunlight, vibration, pressure on the skin or even exercise. I feel that you should find out the cause of your chronic urticaria by ruling out the various conditions causing it.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
