I'm going crazy. I've got a little red bump

I am a 28 year old, uncircumsized, Caucasian male. I've not had any sex of any kind recently. The last time I did was about 5 years ago, and I never experianced anything at all back then. I have never in my life, had unprotected sex, but I once received unprotected oral sex, but again this was about 5 years ago, and it was from a girl I didn't know. Nothing of any kind occured after that time period. And, since that time I've had no issues until about 7-6 months ago.

For a long time now, about a six months. I've had a small single red bump on the underside towards the tip of the head of my penis, it is also near, but below and not touching the "eye/mouth" of the penis. I believe that it occured a while back as a result of masterbation (masturbation), and the paper towel I used irritated it. The bump does not hurt, it does not crust, and does not go away. Its just there. I don't have any other bumps, but somtimes when I masterbate the surrounding area near the bump... will get a little reddish, but then goes away. And, when I get erect the bump is barely visable, and there is never any discharge.

Now, maybe this is unrelated and, maybe it is not, but I have in the course of about a year...had two foreskin infections. The surrounding foreskin skin became inflamed and reddish, and went away after putting non-prescribtion antibactirial ointment on the foreskin. When I did this within days the infection went away, but the bump remained exactly the same as always. I do not always clean the foreskin as I should, and so I don't know if this is related.

Welcome to the Dermatology Expert Forum!

A single, red papule (“bump”) on glans (glands), without any other objective or subjective symptom, is not a very specific description. It could be: angiofibroma, nevus, venous varicosity, etc.

It is not likely, but still viral wart and mollucum contagiosum should be excluded.

Bottom line, for a persistent lesion of this sort, it is recommended to see a dermatologist. That will alleviate all your concerns.
