I'm still a bit confused?

okay, I recently had unprotected sex about two months ago. I started to have these small bumps only in the hair bed area of my genitals (none in the privates). I was concerned so I rushed to the OB/GYN. He told me it was folliculitis not to worry about it, and that it would go away. He said if it got worse to come back for antibiotics. At the time I was shaving that area so it made since. However, about a month went by and they didn't get any better or worse, so I decided to stop shaving. Even still the bumps stuck around. So I went to another OB/GYN and had him look at the bumps. He was also confident that it wasn't an STD and that it was something like folliculitis. I ask him if there was anything he could give me to make them go away. He acted like even though he was sure it wasn't an STD, he wasn't sure how to treat it. He said that I should see a dermatologist if I wanted a cream to apply to it. So my problem is what are these bumps and how do I get rid of them? I had a pap-smear and it came back normal. I have always had slightly heavy discharge but it's always been clear. no painful irritation, or burning urination.  The bumps looks like small raised areas of skin. most of the time they are still skin colored or slightly pink. They are hard to notice if your not looking for them. They are not puss filled. When I try to pop them they do not pop, I can really only pinch them off and then they bleed and heal up. When the last doctor looked at them he said they almost look like small cysts. I have been picking them off even though I know I  shouldn

I think you have folliculitis, which amounts to blocked pores.  These are common in the groin, from heat, sweating, etc.  I agree with your doctor that they are not an STD.  I think you should apply bacitracin or neosporin ointment daily, that you leave them alone and stop picking, and that you see a dermatologist so you can get a specific diagnosis and be able to stop worrying about them.

Take care.

It's me again, I was wondering could these bumps be warts? would the doctor have noticed if that's what they were? to me they don't look like warts, but then I don't know much.  I had a small wart appear on my hand and one on my leg (very small) could I have HPV? If I had that wouldn't my pap-smear have come up abnormal? I'm just so confused...

No, I don;t think they're warts.

Please get an accurate diagnosis.  I don't think there is nothing for you to be confused about.
