Improper Hairgrowth

by kings, Sep 09, 2001 12:00AM
I am 26 year old boy. I don't have normal hair growth in the body as other boys have in this age, especially in chest, cheeks (beard), and legs. There is hair growth in all the parts of the body, but they are preliminary hairs, (i.e) small brown hairs and unable to identify easily. I have a lot of hair growth in head. I want a lot of hairs to be grown in my body. Please tell me the medicine and remedy for it.

You aren't abnormal, and there's no remedy.

Hair growth patterns vary all over the map.  We do a lot of laser hair removal, because hairlessness happens to be in fashion among both women and men these days.  By those standards, you're right in step, and at no cost.

Assuming you have matured sexually in other ways, in other words, your hair pattern may make you self-conscious, but isn't abnormal and can't be changed.  If you have any doubts, you ought to see a doctor or endocrinologist.  If you continue to feel depressed or unhappy about the way your body looks even after these evaluations, you may want to consult a therapist to help you deal with what you have.

Best.
