Incredibly Itchy EVERYWHERE

I have very very itchy spots all over my body(except my back) that on my hands and arms and legs resemble bug bites and on my thighs and near my groin i have a few rash type areas that remind me of poison ivy.there are also a few bumps and sores on my groin. I never was a person that could help from itching, and when i had chicken pox, athletes foot and lice, i itched until i scraped skin off. so i havent stopped itching (everywhere, yes, groin included) for almost 6 weeks now because im either itchy or in pain from itching so much. My only guesses are herpes zoster (although the duration and patterns do not appear to be consistent with such), jock itch, scabies, an allergic reaction to fleas, or bed bugs.. please help, its driving me insane!!!!

Just joined so forgive me if Im doing this wrong.  I have what sounds like the same thing you are describing.  I went to a clinic the other day because I just couldnt stand it another day & couldnt get in to see my regular dr that fast.  The dr. at the clinic diagnosed it as scabies.  She gave me some cream medicine to put all over my body from head to feet.(They say mostly only infants get it on their heads but my scalp was itchy too).  You are suppose to put the cream on for 8-14 hours which I did overnight & it absorbs into your skin pretty quickly.  Its suppose to kill the mites that are under your skin I think.  You wait 7 days then reapply once again all over.  However, it can still take up to 2 weeks to stop itching, & someone even said up to 4 weeks.

I cant go on feeling this way for 2 more days nevermind 2-4 more weeks!  I feel like there are bugs crawling in my nose & ears & all over my skin.  Its even in my eyes and eyelashes & eyebrows now.  The thing is Im not sure the diagnosis was correct because I keep finding these tiny white things especially when I scratch my ears.  I have always had horrible dandruff(psoriasis) only on my scalp so its hard to tell what is dandruff or if there really could be lice or some other kind of mites crawling up there.  How do I tell the difference between scabies, lice, bedbugs, tiny white worms, and dandruff flakes?

This sounds like a case of scabies. It was the worst itch that I have ever experienced. Are they present between your fingers and on your feet?
