Infection of skin

by hemant, Jan 25, 2000 12:00AM
Since last few years I have been getting the skin infection in the gap of groin i.e. the skin from groin till the coccyx area.
On application of antibiotic or antifungul for few days it goes off but again recurres. What is this? How to get cured of this?
I have to suffer the painful cuts in the skin because of this.
Please advise. Send reply on e-mail "***@****"

Hermant:

It sounds as if you are describing an eczematous or irritated skin condition rather than an infected one.  The skin down there is very sensitive.

Try treating it with OTC 15 hydrocortisone and sealing that in with vaseline twice daiy.  When it clears up, stop.  resume as soon as it comes back for quick suppression.

Best.

Thanks for replying to my querry.
I would like to ask a question related to my wife.
My wife is suffering from Costchondritis since 30 th Dec99.
She has chest pain in the ribs, coupled with breathlessness and
other symotoms which are the book reflections of symptoms of
Costochondritis.
Coupled with this now she has started having problems of depression because of which she keeps on thinking about it only and at times she feels that she is having cardiac related problem. Ofcourse the possibility has been eliminated by 2D echo
, sonography etc.
Your guidance will benifit her in fast recovery.
She is 32 years of age.
