Infection of the hair

The MD I seen Said I had a hair infection which was on my legs.
I took the first pills It went away as i was taking them, but came back so I went back and he put me on some other pills for longer and took them all and now its back a again. Red Bumps on the skin of my hairs with pus on them just on my legs. What could it be.
