Inflamed Bite Comes and Goes

Really don't know whats going on here, but about a year ago i got a bite on my right arm.  It itched really bad and got inflamed pretty large for about 2 months.  After 2 months it was healed but would come back about once every week.  It finally went away for about 6 months but now it just returned!  Red, iterated and itches like crazy!!!  What could this be?

An insect bite will not itch and be present for so long, so other causes like eczema patches, allergies etc need to be ruled out. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. Also wear cotton clothes and apply good quality moisturizers. If the symptoms persist then please get it examined from a dermatologist.
