Ingrown Hair follicules?

by dave101376, Sep 29, 2005 12:00AM
Hi,

I noticed on the shaft of my penis the other day that I had 2 bumps that looked like regular zits.  I had a couple of these before and wanted to ask what they might be.  I just went to the doctor who is running tests on it.  I popped one of them the other day and a hard white head came out of it and that was then end of it.  I have never had any itching, there have never been any ulcers or open sores on my penis.  I have never had any pain whatsoever and these things never caused me any pain.  Wanted to see what you thought this might be based on what I said.  I am waiting for my lab results and would love to hear a good opinion on this.

THank You!

These sound like the small cysts that are common in this location.  I can't think of any lab tests which would be relevant, but I assume they will be OK.  If your doctor isn't sure, you may want to ask a dermatologist or urologist, who should be able to tell you with certainty that these aren't anything to be concerned about (or pop!)

Best.

In many posts for boils etc. You suggest placing bacitracin inside the nostril for possible colonies of staph which can cause problems elsewhere in the body. Putting a petroleum base inside the nostril couldnt that cause Lipid Pneumonia?
Thank you
