Ingrown Hair

Please help me. I had an ingrown hair on my bikini line right under the top of my underwear and i plucked it. Now for 2 days it has been nothing but painful red, swelling, pussing and bleeding. Its right along my pants line so its even more painful. I can not even touch it or lay on it. I took a warm bath and it came to a big white head and when i touched it a big white ball of puss came out and now its a pen size whole all red and i can still see puss down inside of it. Does this mean its going to push the rest of what ever is in there out or is it an emergency for me to go to the doctor. I called a doctor and made an appointment for June 9th and told her one what is happening and she said its probably an ingrown and to just put neosporen on it and to keep a band-aid on it. After speaking to her is when all of this happened. Am I gonna get a Huge infection or do i already have one. I am still in a lot of pain and this has been happening since Friday.

Diet can also have something to do with it. Drink a lot of water, stay away from greasy foods.  Apply lotion on regularly.  Use a natural skin toner.  You can also try the warm compress to open the pore and then cleanse with a natural cleanser, afterwards close the pore with a somewhat cold compress or natural product that minimizes pores to keep dirt and hair from getting trapped inside.   I would recommend a body detox.  You can do this by juicing.  Juicing has been found to cure several illnesses that are usually just treated with pharmaceutical medicines.  I would also recommend natural cleansing products, such as natural body washes.  Make sure they do not have Sodium Lauryl Suflate, or synthetic perfumes.  Look at the ingredient of all your beauty products.  There is a website http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/.  There you can look up ingredients from products and it will rate how hazard they are on a scale of 0-10.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to a boil or infected hair follicle. A boil generally starts as a reddened, tender area. Over time, the area becomes firm and hard. Eventually, the center of the abscess softens and becomes filled with pus. Finally, the pus "forms a head," which can be surgically opened or spontaneously drain out through the surface of the skin.

Apply warm compresses on the boil and keep the area clean. Drainage of the boil is done only when it becomes soft and forms a head. Take some over the counter pain reliever and put some antibiotic cream like Neosporin. If the symptoms persist then you may need oral antibiotics prescription.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing

Your need to bring the rest of the puss out. Try a warm wet washcloth on the area and start using antibiotic ointment on it (you can buy it OTC).   If it's pussing, and you are able to keep clothing off that particular spot then you might want to expose it to air for a bit to let it dry out some.

You can also use stuff like rubbing alcahol (that might burn) or even peroxide on it several times a day. The goal is to get the infection to go away and to keep the area clean and dry after treating it.

For inflamation try taking some OTC  Ibuprofen, but double check with your doctor before trying these things.
