Ingrown hairs and something worse?

Ingrown hairs and something worse?

So all of the horrible red blister's and bumps look the same to me and I was wondering how you can tell the difference between ingrown hairs, pimples, and herpes? If you get a single red bump  within a week or so of shaving that produces a white discharge a day or two after appearing then goes away after a week or so with no itchyness and only hurt after "popping" it, that probably not herpes right? Never get bumps any other time and they dont hurt or itch, most likely an ingrown hair from shaving?

Hello,
From the symptoms it sounds like an infected hair follicle or boil. A boil generally starts as a reddened, tender area. Over time, the area becomes firm and hard. Eventually, the center of the abscess softens and becomes filled with pus. Finally, the pus "forms a head," which can be surgically opened or spontaneously drain out through the surface of the skin.
Herpes presents as one or more blisters on the skin. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
