Inner labia

Inner labia

Hi all,

My inner labia has been itchy for about 4 months on and off. Last month I had it really bad....this time not as bad. I'm on the pill and my problem occures on the 3rd/4th day of taking the pill....Sometimes it starts after sex, sometimes it has started after using certain soaps which maybe has dried it out and I used to trim down there but now have stop because i thought i was trimming too close to the labia. Before my boyfriend has had red dots appear on himself....but have gone away with careful cleaning because he has a foreskin. I'm now washing myself after sex and being more careful with what soaps i'm using. It definatly feels like an irritation of some sort but i cant be certain, I have thrush cream and vagasil...does help occasionally, but when i go the toilet and wipe, it all comes off and it happens again....

thoughts anyone?

Hi,

Since when have you noticed these symptoms? Are you on any medications? What is your age?

This could be urticaria, eczema, allergic reactions, dermatitis etc.

You need to wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites.

Apply calamine lotion at the site of the lesions and see if it helps. You could take some oral antihistamine medications like cetrizine or loratadine. You need to maintain a good personal hygiene . Wear lose, comfortable clothes.

Anti-itch drugs, often antihistamine, may reduce the itch during a flare up of eczema, and the reduced scratching in turn reduces damage and irritation to the skin.

For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone or desonide), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide).

Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Moisturizing is one of the most important self-care treatments for sufferers of eczema. Keeping the affected area moistened can promote skin healing and relief of symptoms.

Do not shave the area. Do not use any soaps or other products till you see your doctor.

I'm 19. I noitced the issue about 4 months ago, when my boyfriend brought it to my attention he had those red dots on the end of himself. Then the month after it began itching on/off. I'm not on any medicaications just the pill. The itching stops completely the day after I finish my pill with my period I'm fine...then the 4th or so day I'm back on the pill...or something triggers it like sex, soap etc it begins, sometimes bad...sometimes It'll be a little itchy then go away. I've consider it to be possibly an aggressive yeast infection of some sort...but it's just from the inner labia sometimes slightly further down.....I'm irritating somehow...
