Recently last month , I had my first cold sore.  I went on the internet and read information and was pretty cool because it seems so common.  Last night I found  a cut on my finger...no swelling, no pain, and didn't think anything of it.  Its on my index finger and actually looks like a small circular hole..with a thin tail.  Kind of what you would expect if you something cut your skin and kind of dragged.  My finger is not swollen and the cut is really small.  However, I am worried now that it could be herpes whitlow.  But all the the things I read said the finger would be red and swollen and painful.  The only way I even noticed the cut was because I got a little perfurm on my hand and it burned slightly.Even now it doesn't hurt.  If it was herpes..would it only be the one little cut.  WOuld it be painful.  The pictures I saw on the internet said it would be swollen, painful, and multiple things.  But sometimes they exaggerate.  Even now when I touch my finger (the cut) it doesn't hurt.  Please help me...I freaking out.  I'm still in school and don't have med insurance.  So to go to my derma. would be around 80 bucks.  AM I CRAZY!!!! I didn't even notice a blister...just a cut.......
