Insect bite or Allergy

My son has swelling on his shin, at first it looked like 4 little mosquito bites grouped together with red swelling sourrounding the bites but after 2 days its still there and now little indentations are starting to appear. It does not appear to be very itchy based on my observations but he still scratches it occasionally.

Can anyone please help me to identify what this is? I'm worried it may be a spider bite but I can't see any indications of bite marks.

Since the rash is on both the legs hence the possibility of eczema is more than spider or insect bite. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. If the symptoms persist then please get it examined from a dermatologist.
