Irratation

I am a 21-year-old male writing to you about two questions I have that have been boggling my mind for the last month. I think someone with your expertise well be able to answer them.  28 days ago I accidentally dropped some Topical Antimicrobial 0.75% iodine with alcohol on my penis (it was for catheter use) ; it only hit the head of area. I washed it off very quickly, but it irritated me very much. I visited my primary physician and asked what could I do and he told me to give it some time it should heal fine. After about a week in a half I contacted him again and told him the irritation was still there. He told me to contact a friend of his who

I don't think you have anything to worry about.  The irritation from the antispetic that fell on the penis can make the area feel sensitive for a while, even after the redness is gone.  I wouldn't use the hydrocortisone any more--just keep the area mosit and let nature take its course.

As to the bumps, they sound like little hair follicles many people have.  No doubt the irritation made you notice what's been there for some time.  If your doctor feels these are of no imprtance, that sounds right.

Is'nt Hair follicles located on the shaft or scrotem of the penis? The bumps I saw where on the head of the penis a near the cornona and a tiny bit more up (near the center of the head), but no where near the backside or the opening. Do you still think its Hair Folliceles or is it just normal old bumpy penile skin texture?

Most likely, they're what are called "pearly penile papules," and they're OK.

If the irritation keeps on is there something I could put on it to make it heal faster or should I go back to the doctors.

I have had the same **** spots on my penis for many years. I really wish that they can be reduced. They are mainly the foreskin. Is there any screen that removes them or reduces them? They are so similar to acne and they dont pain either.
