Irregular mole

Hi, I just had a mole removed and am so scared.  Doctor didn't seem too concerned however stated mole was various colors which I have read means melanoma.  How am I going to wait 7 days to find out my fate?  Do all irregular colored moles mean cancer?

No. Not all irregular moles with discolorations may signal the presence of cancer. However, such moles need to be further evaluated. I suggest that you just need to be calm and keep a positive attitude. At this point, I know you are highly anxious. The histopath results shall give you a defined diagnosis. Your physician is managing you as expected. It is good to have the mole assessed early on.

Are there any discolorations in other parts of the body?

Do you have several moles present in your body?

Was the removed mole itchy?

Thanks for your reply.  I have no other discolorations, I have a ton of moles and the mole was not itchy.  What do you think?
