Irritation, redness and itching on penis

First off, there is a thread on May 21, 2001 titled "Very strange condition with penis - red spots on glans and rash from semen" that very similiarly explains my condition. However there was no specific treatment recommendation besides "keep it well lubricated".
A few months ago when receiving oral sex from my girlfriend I got a cut from her tooth. Not very deep, there was not blood. I didn't really feel it at the time. Although the cut has healed, the skin around it 1/4" by 1/2" continues to be irritated. Normally it is pinker than the rest of the skin on my penis. However after sex or masturbation is reddens, which makes sense from your explaination. The skin seems to get dry easier than the rest of the skin on my penis.
I have been using a condom when having sex and have been putting antibiotic ointment regularly, but the condition has not improved. What other treatments can I try? How long should I expect for the skin to return to normal?

Traumatized skin can look pink for a very long time after the injury, weeks to months. Friction or heat make the skin redder, which means nothing. Infection is not likely at all at this stage. If I were you, I'd ignore it--you're no more likely to give or receive infection even if it's still visible. Eventually it will go away in all likelihood, as long as you don't pick or squeeze it.
