Is it Herpes or anything else??

Hello doctor,
I had an affair in the early 2006 and had intercourse with her. Soon after 2 days I found some red pimples on my penis. Immediately I Visited a dermatologist and checked. He specified to apply herpex cream. I applied and it got vanished. After that now in August 2008 I got the same pimples in the same place. This time the doctor prescribed the herperax and zovirax 400mg tablets. After intaking it vanished immediately but still It recurred again in 1 week and it was continuing for about a month. Then I checked in the site and later I came to know it’s a STD. I got married in september 08 and recently my wife had removed her unwanted hairs near vagina and she started saying that she feels some itching in that place and I checked with same doctor and he prescribed Bactroban and allegra tablets. It has controlled but still not recovered fully.
Then I checked in the website about the medicines prescribed and came to know that its for Herpes I got panic and went to a new doctor and he suggested me to take HIV test and herpes test.
The Elisa HIV test came negative nad herpes test is pending. But this doctor have prescribed me Candid cream aying that its doesn’t look like herpes and now the pimples is totally vanished after applying candid cream. I am totally confused whether its Herpes or any other infection. Kindly help.
Kindly clarify whether I can lead a peaceful life if affected with herpes and can have a kid and lead a healthy family life. If it should not affect my wife what should I do?? also
Would be my wife affected if am herpes affected??
If she is affected would there be any health problems for both of us and can we be affected with HIV if we both have sex??She was a virgin and had sex only with me after marriage
Am really in a panic situation after reading the reviews from many sites.
My HIV elisa dot1 & 2 tests are negative, also herpes IGG & IGM tests are negative.
Can you let me klnow are there any diseases which have similar symptoms like Herpes??
Also if me and my wife have herpes would there be any barrier in having a healthy child and leading a healthy family life. I am confused because my previous doctor have prescribed Zovirax tablets and it diddnt work on me but when i consulted another doctor he prescribed Forcan 150mg tablets as well candid cream to apply on my genitals. It really worked and the blisters have vanished. What would be this?? Kindly help.
