Is the growth on my inner thigh a cyst?

I'm really concerned about this. I've had a growth on my inner thigh for about a week. It became painful about 5 days ago. I noticed how huge it became so I decided to pop it. There was tons of very liquid-y blood that looked...odd. It looked more fast flowing than normal. It was mixed with puss or some clear fluid or something. Also it took a while to bleed/squeeze out the liquid (as in it kept bleeding). The most concerning thing to me was that there were little dark black/dark bloody spheres that came out of it. I looked up a picture of cysts while researching and a certain image looked exactly like my bump. It looks like a mountain on my thigh. Not sure if I should have popped it now. Could someone help clarify?
