Is this Herpes

by verynervous, Jun 11, 2006 12:00AM
I am very very worried that I have herpes. It always seems like I have a pimple or two on my buttox. They usually look like whiteheads and are small to medium in size. They can really show up anywhere on my butt. They don't really hurt unless I have one right where my upper thigh and buttox connect. They pop just like a pimple and go away if I put clearasil on them. Last summer I had a faint rash on my lowere inner thighs. I saw a doctor about this and she said it was nothing. It went away and hasn't returned. I cuddled with someone last year who had herpes, but never had intercourse. He hadn't had an outbreak in seven years, but I'm freaking out that these pimples are herpes. It's like I always just have one. I am active and workout a lot, but I don't really think these are from that. I'm scared to death, and need some advise. Thanks.

I think they are pimples.  They don;t sound anything like herpes.  I think you should ignore them--they're quite common in the groin and on the buttocks.  Best not to pop them--they go away on their own.

Best.
