Is this a cold sore?

A few days ago I kissed this guy for an extended period of time.  It was for about 30-40min.  The next day I had a pimple on my lipline but it didnt hurt much and went away after 1-2days.  Today he told me he got a pimple too and he popped it.  It's healing but now he got another one.  
I never had that happen to me before and he said neither did he.  Is it a cold sore?  herpes?
I saw some pictures of cold sores online and mine did not look like a sore, and I did not experience alot of pain or fever.  He said neither did he.  
We're both concerned..can you please give any insight?

First of all forget herpes or cold sore,which has incubation period of 5 days,you dont get herpes overnight.Second, nothing more to say.

sure you did,and bacterial infections do spread that way.
