. I have been trying to not use the steroid cream too much but it seems like the only thing that really makes it feel better. Should I try not using anything? Would using the steroid cream too much keep the area red overall?
Would anyone have any suggestions on the best moisturizer to use in that area for eczema?
This is best done by Corticosteroid ointments which keeps the inflammation under control.
Moisturizing is one of the most important self-care treatments for sufferers of eczema. Keeping the affected area moistened can promote skin healing and relief of symptoms.
Moistening agents are called 'emollients'. In general, it is best to match thicker ointments to the driest, flakiest skin.
emollients for the relief of eczema include Oilatum, Balneum, Medi Oil, Diprobase, bath oils and aqueous cream. Sebexol, Epaderm ointment and Eucerin lotion or cream may also be helpful with itching
yes, use for one week stop a week and one week again. buy some domboro powder mix with water and place wash cloth soaked in domboro it will make it feal better. you can ever mix with your bath water and as tony the tiger says greattttttttt. epsom salts works great with bath water too.
I bought the generic version of Aquaphor. My pharmacist recommended it for eczema. Has anyone had any experience with this product? How ofter should I apply it? So far the 2 days I have been using it I have been pretty clear (nothing really red).
