Isolutrol for oily skin

by Dell, May 31, 2001 12:00AM
Have you heard of Isolutrol?  It is being used to control oily skin.  It is made from shark bile. There are a few companies that produce it as a skin balancer, you can't buy it in a store.  I have been using it for several weeks and have really noticed a dramatic difference in the amount of oil my skin is producing. I have excessively oily skin, almost to the point of looking "greasy".  I just want to know your input of this product.  Do you know of any health risks of using it over a long period of time?  I am amazed at the results. I always thought I would just have to live with my oily skin.  I am very happy with this product.

I know little about Isolutrol.  Great claims are made for it: that it treats acne, protects the liver, and so forth.  I don't know what, if anything, it does for oil production on the face, but I'm glad it works for you.  There are no really useful and safe ways to reuce oil production.  Asringents help wipe oil away.

Best.

Hey Dell

I have a problem with oily skin also!  I am 28 years old and have been battling this since I was a teen.  I was wondering if you could tell me where I could purchase Isolutrol.  Where did you get yours?  Any information would be a great help!  Thanks!

Jackie:

I only know of two companies selling it.  I ordered mine on-line through Home Shopping Club.  Serious Skin Care Line carries it as a product called "Unplugged".  Go to HSN website and click on the section for "Serious Skin Care."  It's sold as a twin pack of spray bottles for about $27.00/pr.  I've had it for 5 weeks and I'm still on my first bottle.  My skin is extremely oily, it takes about 3 weeks using it twice a day before I really started to notice the results.  Now I only use it once a day, and the results are amazing.  I used to have to powder my face every hour. This stuff is incredible.  It also really controls acne. There is another source for it but they are in Hong Kong or somewhere. HSN is your best bet, after ordering on-line I had it within a couple of days.  Go to Yahoo and do a search for "Isolutrol" and you will find lots a articles about how good it works. Good luck, give a few weeks and you will be amazed!!!
