Itchiness and Pain of Scrotum (need help ASAP!)

Hi. I'm 16 and I had this problem for about 3 weeks ago, when i was in the bathroom, my scrotum just began to be itchy then when i took a glance on it, I saw some rashes. I don't know what was the cause of it, but my only concern is, it gets itchy every time and it became a hindrance to my lifestyle. Days ago, I tried to put some Clotrimazole and Povidone Iodine on it, but nothing happens. It was just getting worse and worse. Sometimes, it releases some kind of a yellowish foul liquid, and it makes my underwear dirty and nasty. When I take a bath, and the water is moving towards my scrotum, it becomes painful with unbearable itchiness. And now, I want to know what was the cause of it, and how to treat/heal/clear the rashes. Thanks for the concern.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The symptoms are suggestive of fungal infection of the groin due to intertrigo. It most commonly occurs due to bacterial, viral or fungal infection. An intertrigo usually appears red and raw-looking, and may also itch, ooze, and be sore.

keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).Application of mild steroid cream like dermacort also helps. For the itching please take some over the counter antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin. In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
