Itchiness around scrotum and groin. Red, itchy anus.

Hi,
About 5 weeks ago, I started getting an intense itch over my groin and scrotum, this also occured around my anus. there is redness around my anus also. I saw my dermatologist a week ago today and he prescribed my canestan 1% which he said to use twice a day for 1 week. As of now, itching still occurs intermittently, and the redness around my anus/scrotum is still there.
Any advice?

Warm water and soap. Dry well with hairdryer. Then use an anti-fungal spray recommended for jock itch or athletes' foot. Also put on your socks before your underwear.
