Itching at the back of forehead of the penis

From last 2 weeks I have a itch beneath the foreskin of my penis. When I pull back my foreskin I found there are some  red patches just below the penis head and around the shaft and it gives a bad smell too. This itch becomes more if touched.  I am a married, non circumcised man. I am worried if I have a intercourse with my wife who is pregnant, it may affect her also. Please suggest me about what I am suffering, how to get rid of the issue.

It can be due to balanoposthitis which is an infection of the foreskin and head of penis. Oral course of antibiotics is needed. In addition, don’t use any cosmetics on the penis, instead use some topical antimicrobials like Lotrimin. Also retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin. In case the symptoms persist then consult a urologist/dermatologist for evaluation and antimicrobials prescription.
