Itching burning scrotum

I experience a stabbing pain, usually on the right side but sometimes on the left, of my scrotum.  It is sharp and intense.  When I scratch it burns but eventually subsides.  This happens in the day sometimes but most every night about 15 minutes after retiring it starts.  I seem to be wet with sweat also.  Sweating in this area is a recent development, having never experienced this problem before.  I have seen a GP and a Dermatologist and both prescribe steroid creams.  I have tried several brands and none bring relief.  I can get temporary relief with Vick's-vapor rub--after the burning quits.  Has anyone had this problems and found a cure?

Sweating can be stopped quickly with the use of SweatStop antiperspirants against excessive perspiration.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!
The common causes of pain in scrotum are epidydomo orchitis, inguinal hernia; kidney stones etc.Serious causes of testicular pain are torsion which needs urgent medical attention. Excessive sweating can lead to irritation and yeast infections.  For the irritation, a weak hydrocortisone may help (1% is over-the-counter.) and for the sweating, a powder like ZeaSorb may help.  I suggest that you should take another visit to a dermatologist for consideration of these and other measures.  I do hope it helps.
Take care and regards!
