24 Year Old Male - In Good Health
Many months ago I had started exercising at a gym. I went about 5 days in a row, used the treadmill, weights or bike there for at least an hour each day. I worked my *** off. I usually run at home, but I really started to go to the gym to lift weights and since I was there I worked hard on the treadmill too so I could do it all at once.
A few days after going, I had noticed a few very small irritated spots on my abdominal area above my hips. They itched very badly. It almost looked a mosquito bite if itched - it would turn white. A week later, the itching intensified and spread pretty much all over my body but it wouldn't necessary leave any weals. A few places like on my chest, it just looked like a big rash. After playing internet detective, I thought I had folliculitis. I waited for about 2 months to finally see a dermatologist because I was poor. The only real reason I went was because the itching was so bad that I just couldn't sleep at night... He gave me some antibiotics and it pretty much cleared everything up. I also had some weird blisters that would show up on my hands which I'm about 99% sure is dyshidrotic eczema. That has gone away completely.
About 3 weeks ago I tried running again at home, and some of my itching has come back all over. It's not anywhere as bad as before. I seem to have some very light jock itch and athlete's foot right now too...my skin *****!
Does anyone know what is causing these symptoms to occur for such a long period of time? Yes, I shower right after I exercise...
See attached picture to see what my chest looked like.
