Because of a central nevrous system condition my palms would itch fiercely. Nothing would help. The more I scratched the worse it became. Palms stayed blood red. When I was first diagnosed with "bad nerves" I couldn't take the prescribed meds the Dr. issued. I learned that there were herbal supplements that worked just as good. They work in the same way as pharmaceutical drugs but without the adverse reactions. Results vary from person to person.
It worked for me and still works after over a year of use. I would not even consider stop using them as they soothes the nerves, take the "fire" out of the nerve endings that causes the itch, which is really not an itch at all but an inflamation of the nerves. Stress also increases the "fire".  A lack of quality sleep is also a factor in nervous conditions.
Emotional wellness is the key to a happy nervous system. The nervous system is the first thing affected by stress, tension, and emotions. To obtain this wellness I did extensive research on herbal supplements that promotes positive emotional health. These supplements along with good nutrition should  take the fire out of your palms as they did mine. Please check out www.swansonsvitamins.com for a more complete list of herbal supplements. It works for me.

Seven Supportive Supplements
.
Essential Fatty Acids—EFAs benefit every cell of the body including nerve cells, and they aid in the transmission of nerve impulses. Omega-3 EFAs like DHA and EPA are especially important, yet food sources of them are very limited.
Calcium—Calcium is important for nerve impulses, especially in association with magnesium.
Magnesium—The number one supplement for calm nerves! What calcium is to the bones, magnesium is to the nerves. It is vital for nerve impulses, and a deficiency causes irritability and nervousness.
B-Complex—The 11 B vitamins are often referred to as the stress vitamins since they are vital for the health of the nervous system. Food sources of the B-complex include brown rice, whole grains, leafy vegetables and brewer’s yeast.
Lecithin—Lecithin is packed with choline, which is necessary for the proper transmission of nerve impulses from the brain through the central nervous system, and it protects and repairs nerves.
Chamomile—Anyone in need of destressing should try chamomile in the form of a tea, dietary supplement, or essential oil.
Taurine—High concentrations of the amino acid taurine are found in the central nervous system, and it is vital for efficient utilization of magnesium and calcium, two requisite minerals for healthy nerves.

Please check with your Dr. or a Health Care Professional before trying any alternative medicines.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Itchy palms with out any rash can be due to contact dermatitis, fungal infections, excessive sweating or eczema. Take some Benadryl or Claritin for the itching and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. Also wear cotton-lined gloves when doing housework such as dishes and laundry and use a good moisturizing cream to nourish the hands and feet at night. If the symptoms persist then topical steroids may be needed and systemic diseases which can cause itchy palms need to be ruled out.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
