As the same as everyone else, my father is too embarassed to admit that he has an anal itch. Now i have the same itch and i wanted to ask which doctor I should talk to about it because I do not want to suffer from it.
The itchingCauses of vaginal itching Eye burning - itching and discharge Itching Jock itch Muscle twitching Vaginal itching is only maybe once every 2 weeks, its extremely irritatin, and i have been using the moisturizing cream the doctor has proscribed to me but it seems the itching will not go away. I'm wondering if it could be a diet thing or maybe something im elergic to, but i cant seem to find what. My clothers are very clean, where i sit and sleep are being cleaned daily. I have tried different detergents and soaps but still no results. I am also wondering is there any other doctor i can go to see about this problem because my original doctor doesnt seem to have a clue, she is just guessing on what to give me.
There are many causes of anal itching, also called as pruritis ani. These causes may be moisture, irritation, infections or medications.
If your itching has been prolonged and intense, then it would be best that you visit your doctor. It can be understood that this could be embarrassing, however, this is the best option you have. Meanwhile, you must try to resist itching as this increases the itch further, you must also try to wear clothes which do not irritate the site. Maintaining hygiene is another factor which is very important.
Hope this helped. Let us know if you have any other queries.
