Itchy Hands

I have a case of itchy hands. I can't help but itch, and I get to the point when I keep itching, that I start forming little white bloches, and bumps all in between and around my fingetrs, palms, wrists, and anywhere else on my hands~!! I've tried to convince my mom to take me to the clinic, but she thinks it's a bad case of dry skin. She has no idea how much it hurts to be in this condition, and it's only itchy and hurtful, but it's gross and I need a docter, but my mom says I don't need it. What should I do about my allergic reaction?

Hi- maybe it is skin mites, they are easy to catch and tend to itch even more at night and typically a prescription is needed- its like a bug repellant type lotion.  If you're in school, stop by the nurse and ask her what she thinks, a call from the school may prompt your mom.  Benadryl cream may help relieve any itching in the mean time.  Good luck!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

Anti-histamine medication may help with the itching. Are there other signs or symptoms present? How long have you been experiencing this? Psoriasis, in addition to a rash on the skin, often displays changes on the fingernails or toenails of the affected hands and/or feet and is associated with sharp, round borders, while irritant or allergic dermatitis may have less-defined borders or involve only the skin of the hands or feet. Allergic contact dermatitis will sometimes clearly follow the pattern of recently acquired shoes or sandals. Dyshidrotic eczema typically starts as tiny itchy blisters along the sides of the fingers or feet and then turns into red, scaling areas.

It would be best to have it evaluated by your dermatologist for proper management. Take care and keep us posted.
