Itchy Rash Next To Eye

Hello.
About a year ago, I noticed 3 red spots on my face; one next to my eye, one about 1 inch below my right eye and one 1/2 inch below my left eye. About 2 months ago, the spots under my eyes got larger and more red, almost like zits, but with no "head" part...just got large, sore to the touch, and red. Then, the spot next to my left eye got red and very itchy and sore and the skin is "flaking". The spots under my eyes get larger, then smaller, but still the area surrounding them is always red (it's so embarrassing!). The area next to my eye just stays itchy and red w/ continuous skin flaking. I haven't put anything on them, other than my usual skin routine, which hasn't changed in many years.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? Any ideas on what it might be and how to get rid of it?
Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you so much!
