Itchy Rash

My mother has a bit of a facial hair problem and she decided to take care of it by going to a professional waxer, well after she went, everything was fine until about 3 or 4 days afterwards. In every area that she got the hair removed, she started breaking out in this very strange red rash that looked like acne but was burning and itching like crazy. Unknowingly, I did the same thing the day after she did and got some facial hair removed and now I'm breaking out in the same type of rash except it's more consentrated and itches more than hers does. How do I get this to stop and dissapear? please help, i will provide a picture for reference.

thank you, kayla

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms these bumps after waxing are folliculitis. Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.

I hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.

thank you guys so much, this is driving us both crazy, i started applying cortisporn which is a cortizon/neosporin mix and it relieved the itching but not really the inflamation. i looked it up and found some home remedies, thank you so much

try to put some antibacterial creams... folliculitis is caused by staphylococal infections... the wax substance may have also irritated your mother's skin...
