My daughter has similar skin problem with littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys itchy bumps... After much searching and testing, discovered she has food allergies (worse being gluten - wheat, rye, barley, oats), sesameSesame st. vitamins plus iron seeds, and dairy... Seems as if wheat is in everything prepackaged and processed (need read labels)... My daughter is a college student finding eating temtatiions hard to handle... If she watches her restrictions, the bumps, itch, and soreness are controlled... Unfortunately, pizza, subs, and other favorite foods return to her menu and the skin problem returns...
Food allergies may be one of the differentials.Other conditions to consider is a fungal infection and allergic or contact dermatitis.
Any possible triggers that may have caused this?If you can identify ,then it is best to avoid these triggers.
At this point,a consult with your physician will be able to help. Applying cold compress over the area to alleviate the itching or OTC antihistamines may help .Avoid applying anything on the area as this may aggravate the condition. However an asessment by your physician is necessary to guide you with proper management.
