Itchy Red Skin

Dear Dr,

About two days ago, I notices a red "bump-like" rash on my calf. It was itchy at first, but now the itch has subsided and a circular red patch is left. It looks a little scaly so i figure eczema...but I'm still not sure. Then on top of it all, a raised red patch popped up on my stomach almost directly right next to my belly button. This rash is red and very itchy.

I've been putting cortizone cream on them for 2 days now or so. The rash my calf seems to look like its getting better but the one on my stomach hasnt changed all that much.

What could it be? Should i consult a physician?  or should I gave it a few more days??

It does sound like eczema.  I assume you're using over-the-counter hydrocortisone, which is quite weak.  You can keep using it, though, and if the rash isn't gone in 7-14 days, you might want to see a doctor about it for diagnosis and perhaps a stronger cream.
