Itchy Scalp and Hair Loss

For the last few weeks while i've been on vacation my scalp has been itchy and my hair has been falling out, at first i thought i was going bald at a young age (which was upsetting) then i did some more research and read that it could be a skin infection of some sort that could be reversable.
If i can get any information on how to diagnose the problem and treat it that would be great

I dont believe there is any scaling, crusting or inflamation
my head is just itchy and my hair is falling out
it had stopped for the last couple of days but today i have easily lost 2 dozen hairs from just showering.
Could it be related to eczema in any way, as i have had a history of eczema on my forearms, knees and face
I need to get a proper examination from a dermatologist
i really hope i can fix this soon. since if i dont. i'm going to be bald before i turn 20

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
You may be suffering from Tinea Capitis or Ringworm (fungal infection) of the scalp. Ringworm is a fungal skin infection that occurs on the face, body or scalp. The symptoms of Ringworm or Tinea Capitis include a dry itchy scalp, scaling, crusting, inflamed nodules, hair loss and tender enlarged lymph nodes on the neck.  Because of the scratching that is involved with the condition it can become secondarily infected with a bacterial infection.

To confirm the diagnosis, please get an evaluation done from a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
