Itchy and painful penis

A few days ago my penis became inflamed and swollen just below the head especially on the bottom where it is most swollen.  To me it looks like something had bitten me.  I have applied antibiotic ointment to the area but it doesn't seem to go away.  I need help!

Ouch.  That sounds really painful.  You should buy a penis health creme.  These are made specifically for skin problems down there and might help alleviate and/or cure some of the symptoms you described above.  Some of the cremes contain Vitamin E and shea butter, both of which have a soothing effect on irritated or damaged skin.  Good luck.

Hello,
I cannot confirm without examination but the symptoms that you are having can be due to balanitis of the penis. It is an inflammation of the glans penis.

Oral course of antibiotics is needed. In addition, pls don’t use any cosmetics on the penis, instead use some topical antimicrobials like Bacitracin or Lotrimin. Also corticosteroids and topical immunosuppressants can be used but they are available under prescription. Also retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin. In case the symptoms persist then pls consult a urologist/dermatologist for evaluation and antimicrobials and steroids prescription.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
