Itchy ankles at bedtime

I have had eczema since i was born but for the past 2 weeks or more every night i go to bed my ankles start itching straight away and even with the creams i have the itch wont stop.  I scatch till i bleed

The symptoms can be due to eczema from which you are already suffering from or venous or stasis dermatitis. Also called gravitational eczema and presents as itching on the legs and skin changes like red rashes and ulcers on the legs. Treatment consists of topical applications of steroid based creams and the use of compression stockings.

A biopsy skin will help in confirming the diagnosis. My sincere advice is to consult a dermatologist and discuss this possibility with him.
